ACADEMICS (VP and Director)
Main Tasks
- Collaborate with industry sponsors and case writers to develop competition cases
- Integrate both business and engineering considerations into case design
- Oversee academic guidelines and ensure compliance during the competition
- Serve as the primary academic liaison for university team coaches
- Recruit and train judges for ENGCOMM

CORPORATE RELATIONS (VP and Director)
Main Tasks
- Build and maintain relationships with potential sponsors and partner companies

- Manage tasks in collaboration with directors
- Attend networking events to attract new sponsors

EXTERNAL AFFAIRS (VP and Director)
Main Tasks
- Oversee the outreach strategy for international universities participating in ENGCOMM 2026
- Communicate with, recruit, and gather information from prospective universities
- Coordinate with university team coaches to ensure clarity and compliance
- Manage the recruitment of universities and lead full-time volunteers
Requirements

- Comfort working under pressure and engaging with the public
FINANCE (VP)
Main Tasks
- Manage and maintain the budget throughout the year
- Prepare and issue invoices
- Monitor payment deadlines to ensure timely settlements
- Verify and approve transactions in alignment with budget goals

- Academic background in accounting or finance
- Familiarity with standard accounting software

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets

OPERATIONS (VP and Director)
Main Tasks
- Oversee and manage day-to-day operations throughout the event week
- Coordinate lodging, catering, galas, outings, and transportation

- Collaborate closely with the Logistics and Events teams

MARKETING (VP)
Main Tasks
- Oversee social media strategy to maintain brand engagement

- Strengthen ENGCOMM’s presence within Concordia and externally
- Manage and mentor a team of AVPs

GRAPHIC DESIGN (AVP)
Main Tasks
- Design and refine visual assets (posters, banners, logos, social media graphics)
- Maintain a cohesive brand identity across all promotional materials
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to ensure consistent messaging
- Potentially assist with event photography or photo editing

- Proficiency in design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or similar)
- Basic understanding of print and digital design best practices

CONTENT CREATION (AVP)
Main Tasks
- Develop engaging written and visual content for social media and promotional materials
- Brainstorm and execute creative campaign ideas to elevate ENGCOMM’s brand
- Coordinate with the Marketing team to maintain consistent messaging
- Produce or curate short videos, reels, or other multimedia content

INTERNAL Affairs (VP)
Main Tasks
- Oversee team organization and foster a collaborative work environment
- Schedule and coordinate meetings (including Board of Directors sessions)
- Document and track meeting minutes, ensuring follow-up on action items
- Plan team-building activities to strengthen synergy
Requirements

- Ability to remain effective within a team setting
- Event planning/coordination experience is an asset
TECHNOLOGY (VP)
Main Tasks
- Oversee and maintain all technological equipment (projectors, laptops, cameras, and other audiovisual tools)
- Ensure smooth operation of presentation and competition tech throughout ENGCOMM
- Keep the ENGCOMM website updated with accurate and timely content
- Provide technical support to teams, judges, and organizers during competition week
- Research and implement new technologies to enhance the overall event experience
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in managing audiovisual equipment and troubleshooting technical issues
- Familiarity with website management and development (Squarespace experience is an asset)
- Ability to work under pressure and rapidly solve tech-related problems
- Detail-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to maintenance and upgrades
